Albert E. Young
6/2/1942 - 6/17/2012

Albert E. Young, age 70, New Castle resident, passed away Sunday June 17, 2012 at Glen Oaks Health Campus. 


He was born June 2, 1942 in New Castle, Indiana, a son of the late Albert L. and Datha L. Townsend Young.


He was a New Castle resident most of his life, and was an automobile body repairman, and had worked for Smiley’s Body Shop for several years.  He was also a welder, and had worked as a Foreman for Brooks Foods in Mt. Summit.


Mr. Young was a member of the Mountain Assembly Church of God.  He loved sharing time with his family and friends.  His special interests include fishing, hiking, boating, gardening, wood carving, outdoors, and nature.


Left to cherish his loving memory include: his Wife Joyce Marlow Young, whom he married November 27, 1965, three Children; Jama R. Young of Beech Grove, Indiana, Janet I. Christie (husband Doug) of New Castle, Indiana, Charles L. Young of New Castle, Indiana, six Grandchildren; Whitney Jade Pearson, Lacey Paige Pearson, Zachary Tyler Pearson, James Brian Edwards, Mariah Polanco, Gavin Christie, three Great Grandchildren, one Sister, Donna Russell, also several nieces, nephews, and cousins.


He was preceded in death by his Parents and one Brother, Keith Wilson Young.


Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Tuesday June 19, 2012 at Macer-Hall Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Funeral Service will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday June 20, 2012 at Macer-Hall Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Paul Lawson officiating.

I'll always fond memories of my donut man. He and I dad worked together. Every saturday Albert would bring donuts. In fact, I never eat a donut that I don't think of him. God bless him.
