In Loving Memory
Charles J. Moore
12/7/1934 - 8/2/2012

Charles J. Moore, age 77, of New Castle, passed away Thursday, Aug. 2 2012, in New Castle after an extended illness, to start his new journey.

He was born Dec. 7, 1934, in Hagerstown, a son of the late Charles Austin and Susie Marie Favorite Moore. He was a graduate of New Castle High School class of 1953. Mr. Moore was a veteran of the United States Air Force, having served from 1958 to 1961, and was stationed in San Antonio, Texas. He was a former employee of Western Products in New Castle for 51 years in maintenance. He was also commissioner in Boy Scouts of America for several years, and a volunteer for Cerebral Palsy for several years. He was a member of the Rose City Breakers and the Moose Lodge in New Castle for several years.

Left to cherish his memory are three children: two daughters, Terry (husband Mike) Morgan and Connie Ryan, both of New Castle, Indiana, one son, Charles Michael (wife Phyllis) Moore, of New Castle; eight grandchildren, Mandy Vaughn, Donny Young, Misty (Kenny) Fielden, Glenn "Brad" Ryan, Zachary (Shirley) Morgan, Sheena Moore, Kylie Moore, and Austin (James) Poff, several great-grandchildren, one sister-in-law, Margie Moore of Mt. Summit. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, two sisters, Juanita Moore and Linda Moore Marsh, one brother, Wallace Moore, one grandson-in-law.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday Aug. 6, 2012, at Macer-Hall Funeral Home and Cremation Services in New Castle. The funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012, at Macer-Hall Funeral Home with Tom Bell officiating. Military service will be conducted by the American Legion and VFW of New Castle. Burial will follow at Green Hills Memory Gardens west of New Castle. Online condolences may be made at www.macer
