Helen Louise Albertson Tutterrow, age 92, New Castle resident, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2012 at Henry County Hospital.


She was born February 15, 1920 in Cambridge City, Indiana a daughter of the late Clarence and Ethel Rummel.


She had resided in Cambridge City, New Castle, and Madison, Indiana most of her life. She was a graduate of Cambridge City High School. She was a trained nurse’s assistant, and worked in that capacity at the State Hospital in Madison, Indiana for several years. She also had worked for Guide Lamp Corporation in Anderson, Indiana. She was a member of the Locust Grove Church, enjoyed being a homemaker, and was a volunteer for the Madison County Historical Society.


She was preceded in death by: her parents; her 1st husband, Orville Albertson and her 2nd husband, Gilbert Tutterrow; 1 son, Ronald Albertson; and several siblings.


Left to cherish her loving memory include: 3 sons, David Albertson (wife Florane) of Indianapolis, Indiana, Gary Albertson of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Delbert Albertson of Tigard, Oregon; 3 grandchildren, Chelsea Albertson, student at Oregon State University, of Tigard, Oregon, Douglas Albertson of Pullman, Washington, and Darren “Scott” Albertson (wife Vickie) of Beaverton, Oregon; 2 great great grandchildren, Griffan Albertson of Beaverton, Oregon and Kyla Albertson of Beaverton, Oregon; 3 sisters, Jean Tullison of Hubbard, Oregon, Jeanette Winchester of New Castle, Indiana, and Wilma Query (husband Harold) of New Castle, Indiana; 2 brothers, Charles Rummel of rural New Castle, Indiana and Herman Rummel (wife Jane) of Hagerstown, Indiana; also, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.


Friends may call from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at Macer-Hall Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Funeral will be held 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at the funeral home with Reverend Robert Shaeffer officiating. Burial will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery near New Lisbon, Indiana.

We enjoyed our visits with Helen. She always had a smile and was happy to see us, often telling us of her fond memories of the Locust Grove Church as she was growing up. She was a good, kind and caring friend to Lela over the years. Your family will be in our thoughts and prayers during this time.
