Carolyn Sue Ward Wilson, age 64, resident of Fairborn, Ohio, formerly of New Castle, Indiana, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2012 at Greene Memorial Hospital in Xenia, Ohio.
She was born July 25, 1947 in New Castle, Indiana a daughter of the late Harold J. and Regena Prater Ward Sr.
She was raised in New Castle, Indiana and had lived in Fairborn, Ohio for many years. She had also lived in many different states and foreign countries as the wife of a career Air Force Veteran.
Mrs. Wilson loved being involved with her family’s activities and she enjoyed crafts, cooking, and baking. She was retired as manager of a restaurant located on Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio. She enjoyed dancing, cruisin’, and music of the 50’s and 60’s. She was a member of the New Castle Order of Eastern Star #116.
Left to cherish her loving memory include her husband, Tom Wilson, whom she married October 25, 1964; her children, Rhonda Hardin (husband Eddie) of Columbus, Ohio and Suzanne Houston (husband Brian) of Fairborn, Ohio; grandchildren, Katrina Barber (companion Christopher Birdsong Sr.) of Columbus, Ohio, Michael Critchley of Fairborn, Ohio, and Alyssa Hall (husband Aaron) of Fairborn, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Destyn Denen, Christopher Birdsong Jr., and Landon Hall; siblings, Marilyn J. Ward Sullivan of New Castle, Indiana, Jack Ward (wife Carol) of Lewisville, Indiana, and John David Ward (wife Jean) of New Castle, Indiana; also many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by both parents, her mother, Regena Ward in 2000 and her father, Harold J. Ward Sr. in 2010; and 1 brother, Harold J. Ward Jr. in 2011.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at Macer-Hall Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at Cross Road Church (2748 North State Road 3 New Castle, Indiana 47362) with Reverend Danny Douglas officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery West Lawn Addition in New Castle, Indiana.
